Rainy Days

today i went to Sentosa again... but with Fadhil.
Didnt swim though.. but when we reached there, the tide was so high
we had a picnic of pan fried pasta, egg sandwiches and chocolates!!!
yum yum yum...
but everything was fine till it rained.
i was super cold..
initially, i wanted to walk in the rain
but the coldness seeped through my skin..
lucky for me, Fadhil brought his Gore-Tex raincoat.
it was snug and cosy.
we ended up at a deserted Tanjung Beach where we jus slept.
i read, ate, slept, played in the rain, the tide and slept.
Fadhil pretty much slept. and took photos.
oh and there's nice pictures too... [its in the albums *while stocks lasts*]
we went back early and watched a movie.
KungFu Hustle. (i lost the scissors, paper, stone game. or else we'd be watching Meet the Fockers)
i was so tired, i fell asleep in the train. that was a first.
ooh i can't wait for the New Year's eve party im hosting

Tsunami

i jus found out from Nuri that a tsunami had hit the western side of asia.
too many people perished and thousands are missing.
my heart goes out to them.
im so saddened by the news.
and to make things worse, i could have been at Phuket when it happened.
I had planned a trip there with Nish.
I thank Allah that i wasnt.
I just want to tell u people, that i love u.
really I do...
to my family and friends, I love u.
To my new found friends, I love u too.
To you in my heart, Mr. Numbnuts, I don't want to lose u, cos i love u dearly..

Boxing Day.. its the day after Christmas lah numbnuts...

i wonder why they call it boxing day..
is it because most boxing matches happen on this day?
i think i read somewhere that after christmas, christians go to church and they are handed boxes to put in some donations. so thus the term boxing.
maybe i should research this.
oh and Dan Brown's the Da Vin Ci's Code is awesome..
im stuck to it
oh and today i am so trigger happy. went out with Fadhil and we took pictures of all the places we went to.
we ended up at the esplanade and we saw this bangladeshi guys posing with 'super power' shirts...
u guys should check it out man.. hahahhahahahahahah
Vocaluptous was performing. but its not music that we dig. so we left.
but i came home with many many good photos.
hehehhe

Oh my god! its the big giant Giraffe!!

Blind date!!
I'm a perpetual late comer. how could i ever impress people if my watch is set 10 mins early and im still late? haiz. For the upteenth time, i'm meeting someone from the irc. name's Fadhil. Miraculously, this person is interesting. Has the same level of imaginative kookiness about him. hehe i loike..
met him at Tampines, had lunch and walked around TM. The usual.. but the conversational was very interesting until i was jumped by a big giant giraffe. well i wasnt jumped but, his face kinda poped into my percipheral view and rendered me numb. It wasn't even a real giraffe. its the Toys R Us mascot where u stuff a human inside and his job was to either wave at everyone and make a kid's day or frighten me. [ye, i admit. im afraid of clowns and human stuffed furry things]
So when that creature nullified me, i jus froze while riding the escalator down. It gave the escalator something to do to my skirt. It hijacked me. I can't believe it refuses to let me go. i pulled and i yanked, i even negotiated with it nicely but it didnt budge. Luckily my knight in a black shirt yanked the skirt off.. [applause ppl..]
Phew.
U saved my life and my dignity. hehehe
to clear my head we scooted over to the beach.
hey, i have never had so much fun in a day that wasn't planned beforehand. all spontaneous fun. its been a long time.
thanks for making my day Fad.

Sentosa with Artists' League

During the holidays, I promised to go out with Izhan. but only now could i keep my promise. i was so busy. but anyway, i miss sentosa, the beach sarah and izhan, nina and wanie... Im so happy to see them.
unfortunately, mail, sarah and izhan stayed longer. the rest went home early. hehe never knew sand sculpting could be so fun.
by night, we had dinner at Tanjong Pagar Railway Station. this place totally rocks. its like im transported back in time. really made me feel like im in Malaysia. had so much fun.'

Oh I must thank a certain fadhil for sending me a pic thru izhan's phone. U look great.

Holiday Conclusion

I had the most stupendous holiday. Spending it with Nish made me realise how much i love her even more. [Nish, U already have a place in my heart, now u have a place in my family.]
P.S: Im not lesbian
i received so much from her. like a bvlgari blv perfume set. im still reeling from shock. hehe. thanks sister.
if only i had a few million dollars with me to blow during this trip, it would be better. but anyhow, i had so much fun. came home with a new experience. Maybe i shall backpack to KL again. but armed with a few gazillion dollars.

Off to KL

After last night's trip to HRC, we came back around 2 in the morning. Washed up and waited for our departure to KL. Nish, abang and i went to buy some makan. fuuh.. western food in the early hours of the morning. how can i not pile on more fats? haiz..
so.. we took off at 0430hrs. The morning was so chilly. But the journey was smooth. We managed to performed Subuh at the JB mosque. The mosque is magnificent. [look up the pics in the album]
Between the time after subuh and before reaching KL, i fell asleep. The next thing i know, it was already noon and my dad was paying the toll and we were in a traffic jam beside an army camp.
My butt was so tired that it was screaming to get out of the car.

Once we reached our hotel, i realised we were at the centre of the city. 10 mins from KLCC, in the heart of the clubs and 5 mins from HRC KL. WOOHOO!! unfortunately, we could only check in at 2. freaking hotel rules. so all of us decided to walk around KLCC for lunch and take in the view.
with a messy hair underneath a tudung, crumpled travelling clothes, we set of to KLCC the most expensive shopping centre in KL. I must say the food is superb. There is nowhere that u can get authentic Maggi Goreng but in Malaysia. To make it worse, its all halal. its a food lovers paradise. All we did was ate and ate and ate.

I'm so going to enjoy my week here. teehee...

Birthday Week!!

The trip to Phuket or Bali was cancelled indefinitely. Due to all the religious disharmony in those countries, 2 girls there alone are not a safe bet. Anyway, Nish tagged along with my family to KL. But we would only depart tmr morning at 5am.

Apparently, Nish ínvited'me to a grand opening to her friend's turkish restaurant at clarke Quay. She told me to dress up, like Erykah Badu or India Arie. So i just did. [check out the pictures in Hard Rock Cafe] i wore this black dress and green scarf. (i cant believe i wore it)
So Imran came along and Sharom too. They picked me up at home and in the car they told me that I would be pleasantly surprised. I knew that pleasant surprises and Nish don't work together. I knew I had to fear something. Something so wrong.. She dropped hints about her crew card, birthday surprise and kumar. Then it hit me like a charging elephant. She has brought me to Hard Rock Cafe to watch Kumar Live.

I was floored. I was seriously shocked. I've never thought of going there to see Kumar but there it is. I was spending an advanced bday surprise with Nish, Im n Sharom. Well, Ratib too. He was in it too.

firstly, i knew i was overdressed. Everyone there were in jeans and shirt and slippers. But the performance overshadowed the insecurity that i felt. Nonetheless.. i had so much fun spending it all with them. They mean so much to me.

my tooth

fuzzy was supposed to wake me up today for my appt at the dental clinic.. but he didnt call..
well at least i wasnt THAT late.. 7 mins late.
i hate to wait nearly and hour for them to call me
but i read my book. finally finished Paradise of the Blind by Duong Thu Huong
the dentist was a young chinese man
promised me i would walk out of there smiling
i doubt him
he drilled, he filed, he filled, he pushed, he made me bled..
what does he think i am? a statue?
i walked out of there with a kooky smile.. hahah
cos he said i have pretty clean teeth and very nice smile.
after that, he squeezed $75!
now i know flattery doesnt come cheap
so i went home and visited Tampines Regional Lbry..
borrowed some books by women authors.

will read them tonite
i was asleep actually by 9
by my aunt calle me and i cant sleep back..
haiz..
i want to buy some flowers..

Ottoman Sultans' Exhibition at ACM

I went to a relative's wedding and decided to get the whole family to visit the Ottoman Sultans' exhibition at the Asian Civilisation Museum at the Empress place.
The exhibition was an eye opener. Now I know Islam is a great religion and the Muslims of yesteryears were great people, inventors, conquerors, astrologers, scientists and scholars...
The Empire itself lasted for nearly 600 years.

Throughout the exhibit, i fell in love with one of the phrases taken from the Qurán...

Allah is the Light

aimless..

if im given a choice to paint the town red or stay at home and settle the housework, i will always choose the latter..
i went out to watch a movie initially. accompanied my fren to his friend's house for raya but he was called back for work. i called nish to watch a movie but she had plans with S. i would never want to be a tiang lampu. i would really feel akward. so i got back to tamp, bought myself some stuff from bodyshop and spent some time with Aza. i miss going out with him.
wan said anything is possible.. i cant say i agree..
i rode up the escalator and waited for the train. i saw many faces. and i wonder how their lives are like. is it as complicated as mine?
questions keep coming in like a bullet train. so many hows, whys and how comes..
am i living the life of yesteryears? the period i called black?
i need to re evaluate my life
i want to meet someone.
