Imran's bday dinner

Mood: Filled to the brim

At the last minute, Nish and I decided to surprise Imran for his birthday 2 days in advance. We roped in both the boyfriends and my bro for it.

The Venue: Amirah's Grill's Private Function Room.
The Date: 6.30pm on the 26th January.
The Surprise-ors: Nish, Me, Azmi, Khai and Gdin
The Total Surprisee: Our Darling, Imran

When Im walked through the door and we shouted 'Surprise', his jaw practically dropped. It really did. His eyes then disappears behind that beautiful braced smile of his while he jumped for joy. It was exhilirating.

The food was a spread and it was definitely sumptuous. For $20 for a 3 course meal, it was worth it. Lots and lots of photos [Outings Album] and we watch a great movie. everybody just collasped in the sofas while shisha-ing and having a good time chilling.

I hope Imran thoroughly enjoyed himself.

P/S: For a 3 course meal the bill came to $105 for 5 ppl. Some of which included steaks, seafood platter, complete with dips and desserts and Shisha. Awesome.

Performance

Mood: Stage Fright

The performance that we had to present to the class finally arrived. I was ill prepared since my antibodies have been having a vacation. but luckily for me, I learn fast. Although it was a wee bit smaller than expected and I crashed into a chair, it went pretty well. Its fantastic to see all these mommas dancing to techno and kiddy songs.. utterly cute. I love the one when we had to help Nora and Yati for their number. I got really hooked on their song. A Muppet song called Carribean Amphibian. Love it!!

Nasyatul and Darwish's birthday party

Mood: Hyped for a Surprise

The two hobbits were at my place for the start of the weekend. Like any normal stay over, they get to sleep in and be showered with all attention from my parents.

The conversation that we had turned to birthdays since it's Nasyatul's bday coming up on the 24th and it just breaks my heart when i got to know that she thought that her mum was too busy to spend it with her. I had to reassure her that she hasn't.

So around the afternoon, I got the signal to get over to her place but since it was raining hippos, Abang had to drive really slowly. And to make it even better, he got lost somewhere around Ang Mo Kio ave 5.

Anyways, we got there about 1 and half hours later than expected. The best part was walking to the house and Atul wondering why there were so many shoes. It was priceless the look on her face when they shouted 'Surprise!' . She just turned to me and ask, 'why didn't you tell me?'

There we over 15 kids high on sucrose. the food was good, the kids were loud. What more could you want from a birthday party.. The games that we played were great cos some of the adults that participated just couldn't differentiate between Batman, Superman and Ultraman.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed myself since Khai was with me. By the way, Darwish received a drumset and Atul received a piano and my uncle received an advance present, a sleek black electric guitar. We ended the night jamming to U2..

Group Outing

Mood: Kent Ridged

An introduction of new boyfriends and girlfriends to the people in the group.
Announcements thats important to take note of.
Friendships to maintain.

We ended with Abg driving the car and had dinner at Tanjong Pagar with Im, Nish, Mr RockWall, Fiza, Shar and Su. Since Fir Iqbal is no longer there and taken over by another seafood stall, we made do with what we have. It was a superbly hearty meal. We took plenty of pictures and as always cam whoring was the agenda of the day.

Post dinner, Khai suggested we drive to Kent Ridge since I have never been there before. So everyone piled into a 7 seater. [count how many people were present] It was practically a squeeze. lots of juxtaposed pictures.

The scenery there was amazing with lots of little lights and it was pretty dark. Abg sent most of them home but when we were at Jurong, Imran just had to get stuck in between the seats. I don;t know how he even manage to do that.

As always, it was fun spending the night with worthy friends.

Dinner with Buddies

Mood: Satiated

I went for dinner at sakura.. kinda like a double date. Was my first time meeting Mr RockWall.. He seem pretty good. and they look good. I hope she's serious this time. Or else I'll spank her. OOps.. lesbain moment. Im joined us and he looks so cool. thats the thing i really love about him. Everyone loves him and so do I. And to think back abt the first time I can ever remmeber about him.

I'm thinking back about the 3 of us. We were from 3 different groups altogether floating around in circles of friends but after 11 yrs, we ended up where we are. I would never have thought abt being close to them but eventually I did.

Anyways, to good company and and good future

The Rainy Days....

Mood: Curled up in my comforter...

Its been raining these past few days... And I really do mean raining...
The sidewalk has not been dry even for 15 mins before the rain pours again..
I have been walking in winter wear like jackets, woolen shirts, thick socks and shawls wrapped around my neck.

You see, I caught a cold.. A nasty cold and it affected my immune system which produce natural body heat as part of its job scope...
With a leaking nose, teary eyes and bulked up under all these fashion disaster in a supposedly sunny Singapore, I was awarded with a few perplexed stares on the train.

Actually, I should be the one staring at those who wear spaghetti straps and shorts or just less fabric in this unforgiving weather.

Don't you feel the icy cold winds?
what do u have for heat?
blubber as skin?
Or do the make up you wear so thick insulate you?
oh wait!!!
Did you buy the new compact heater from GE and stuff it in your tiny handbags?
Could you buy me one in case this sort of weather hit Singapore again?

Brrrr... *Aaah-choot* (wipes nose in a dramatic display of nose blowing)
its Freezing..

tip for the scrawny: wear something warm and thick lest the wind will blow you away without the extra weight...

Welcome 2006

Mood: Nothing beats a fireworks display

For the past few years, I've held a movie marathon over at my place to usher in the new year. Friends would come over and we'll cook something and watch movies all the way till midnight, wish each other a New Year, then continue watching the movies.

This year however, I was at the Esplanade with a group of my brother's friends, my 2 lil cousin - Darwish and Nasyatul, their maid and Mr Charming.. khai..

My bro said we looked like a complete family of parents, 2 children and a maid. HAH! -_-"

We kinda milled around form 11.30 pm waiting for the the display to start. It seems that the whole foreign constrution sector were at the esplanade. From China, Indonesia and Bangladesh... It was kinda scary pushing your way through just to get the kids balloons. And what's with the snow makers? it stings the eyes. Luckily, Khai is like brick wall (you know its in a good way and that i still love you baby... ;p) cos he just moved and the crowd parted.. khehahah

I was disappointed that we didn't get to hear the countdown cos suddenly, the first fireworks exploded... By then, Darwish was already sitting on my bro's shoulders playing with his hair, Nasyatul was hugging the maid tightly cos she didn't know the sound would be that loud and I didn't have any more kids to hang on to.. at which Khai warmly opened his arms in invitation.. hehehehhe miang aku...

So I held on tight, kissed his chin and wished him a New Year and watched the spectacular display. It gives me such a high watching fireworks and I never get tired of it... the best part is receiving kisses on the head .. sweet!

Truly.. sharing a special day with someone you love is fantasmic...
